In the final black-and-white sequence, prompted by the caller, Leonard meets with Teddy, an undercover officer, who has found Leonard's "John G", Jimmy, and directs Leonard to the abandoned building. Confirming Leonard's information on "John G" and his warnings, Leonard drives Teddy to an abandoned building, leading to the opening where he shoots him. Natalie provides Leonard with the driver's license for a John Edward Gammell, Teddy's full name. Leonard finds that he had previously annotated his Polaroid of Teddy, warning himself not to trust Teddy. Meanwhile, Leonard meets with a contact, Teddy, who helps with Dodd, but warns about Natalie. After understanding Leonard's condition, she uses it to get Leonard to drive a man named Dodd out of town and offers to run the license plate as a favor through the Department of Motor Vehicle's database. Finding a note in his clothes, he meets Natalie, a bartender who resents Leonard because he wears the clothes and drives the car of her boyfriend, Jimmy Grantz. In the story's chronology, Leonard self-directively gets a tattoo of John G's license plate. The color sequences are shown reverse-chronologically. However, Sammy administered each injection, and his wife died. Sammy's distraught wife repeatedly asked Sammy to administer her insulin shots for her diabetes, hoping he would remember having recently given her a shot and avoid giving her a fatal overdose. After tests confirmed Sammy's inability to learn tasks through repetition, Leonard believed that his condition was at best psychological (and perhaps faked) and turned down his insurance claim. Leonard recalls Sammy Jankis, another anterograde amnesiac, from his insurance industry days. Leonard investigates using notes, Polaroid photos, and tattoos to keep track of the information he discovers. The police did not accept that there was a second attacker, but Leonard believes the attacker's name is "John G" or "James G". Leonard explains that he killed the attacker who raped and strangled his wife Catherine, but a second clubbed him and escaped. Leonard has anterograde amnesia and is unable to store recent memories, the result of an attack by two men. The black-and-white sequences begin with Leonard Shelby, a former insurance investigator, in a motel room speaking to an unseen and unknown caller. The film then continues, alternating between black-and-white and color sequences. As the sequence plays backward, the photo reverts to its undeveloped state, entering the camera before the man is shot in the head. The film starts with a Polaroid photograph of a dead man. In 2017, the United States Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry. Memento received many accolades, including the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival, and Academy Award nominations for Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing. It was also a commercial success, earning $40 million over its $9 million budget and gained a cult following. It was acclaimed by critics, who praised its nonlinear structure and themes of memory, perception, grief, and self-deception. Memento premiered at the Venice Film Festival on September 5, 2000, and was theatrically released in the United States on March 16, 2001. The two sequences meet at the end of the film, producing one complete and cohesive narrative. The film's non-linear narrative is presented as two different sequences of scenes interspersed during the film: a series in black-and-white that is shown chronologically, and a series of color sequences shown in reverse order (simulating for the audience the mental state of the protagonist). Starring Guy Pearce, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Joe Pantoliano, the film follows Leonard Shelby, a man who suffers from anterograde amnesia, resulting in short-term memory loss and the inability to form new memories. Memento is a 2000 American neo-noir mystery psychological thriller film written and directed by Christopher Nolan, based on the short story " Memento Mori" by his brother Jonathan Nolan, which was later published in 2001. copying features for an unlimited time With Nero 9 Free youll be able to easily create. I still do YouTube stuffs lol, just not in RS anymore.Īnd I expected the lack of blurring to be a deal-breaker for me as well, but I did ultimately get used to it since the faintly transparent window doesn't look gaudy without a blur. do i know you? feel like it might be runescape lol. Old screenshot but its the closest ive ever gotten to windows 7s aero on windows 10.Įdit: your name. being a graphic designer, tga is extremely outdated and not a user friendly format at all. curtains is far better than window blinds from what i heard, the use of png files is huge. if i can easily port my atlas theme to curtains, i may just do so if the blur really is a thing. ive been sticking to the dwm patch and my personal windows 7 theme for now though, the blur really is a dealbreaker for me, especially the ability to use acrylic. I couldve sworn curtains had the feature to blur the window frame, at least from some screenshots i was looking at. Hope you enjoy, and hope this helps hold people over until BigMuscle returns, if he does. It sure beats the stock Windows 10 look by miles IMO. I've gotten used to the differences though, and find that by setting the color theme to a light-ish gray, the benefits make up for the lack of blurring and lack of the glass movement reflection effect. If I ever figure out if that's possible, I'll also try to modify the theme with it. I THINK Curtains might also lack the feature that allows for the glassy looking reflections to move behind the window frames, which is a distinctive look of Windows 7, but I'm not absolutely sure if that's the case. If that's a deal-breaker for you, then I wouldn't recommend Curtains themes at all. This theme does not have blurring behind the Window frame, because Curtains as a whole lacks that feature. I also use "StartIsBack++" and "OldNewExplorer" to further push Windows 10 towards a Windows 7 look. All I did was make a few changes here and there to touch it up. Full credit to atslah01 for the base theme. I feel I've modified it to the point where it's worth sharing with others. Thankfully, Curtains is PNG based, so modifying the issue I had wasn't a big deal. I thought the rounding on the corners didn't look sharp enough, the forced blue color made blending it in with non-blue backgrounds was impossible, among a few other things listed in the download page. I checked it out, but found a few issues with it that I really wanted to fix. Recently, within a post on this very sub-forum, I found a theme for Stardock Curtains called "Eleven Seven". I tried a Windows 7 theme for WindowBlinds, which looked great, but WindowBlinds caused my quite overpowered computer to lag quite a lot. But seeing as BigMuscle has gone MIA (which I totally respect, life happens), I decided to look for a legitimate alternative that I felt fit the look and feel of what Glass8 was going for. Heyo! I've been a supporter of Glass8 for quite some time now, to the point where I would usually delay updating Windows 10 until Glass8 was ready as well. On 12/24, during the various events that make up the endgame, Igor will attempt to convince you to submit to the awfulness that is currently occurring. The path to the true ending is pretty straightforward, but it’s still possible to stumble into the bad endings by mistake if you’re not sure what to look out for. Persona 5 is not nearly so complicated: There’s one ending that is both good and true-and a handful of bad ones to avoid. The expanded Persona 4 Golden added two more! Badder! Truer! In Persona 3, seeing your way to the good ending was as simple as refusing to let a friend sacrifice themselves, whereas Persona 4 complicated matters by gating the “true” ending behind several specific dialogue choices on two separate calendar dates-in addition to several variants on the “bad” ending, there was a “neutral” ending as well. TMR was founded as the result of efforts by the New York City Boy Scout Foundation beginning in 1924 to develop a camp large enough to accommodate the burgeoning growth of Scouting in the New York metropolitan area during the 1920s, with a goal of providing camping for 3,500 Scouts at a time. Ten Mile River Scout Camps (TMR) is a 12,000-acre (4,856 ha) - roughly the size of Manhattan - camp near Narrowsburg, New York, has four miles of frontage on the Delaware River, and is owned and operated by the Greater New York Councils of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) since 1927. Those who are registered as youth or adult participants with borough councils wear borough council shoulder patches on their uniforms. Until 2013, each borough council had its own Order of the Arrow lodge. Each selects recipients of the Silver Beaver award and presents these along with other council-level awards annually. Each has its own BSA council number, a council president and a council commissioner. The name of Greater New York Councils is written in plural form, because the five borough councils that compose it are themselves councils and operate as such in many respects. The Greater New York Councils office relocated from the Empire State Building to 475 Riverside Drive in Morningside Heights in December 2018. In 1967, the council was renumbered as Greater New York Council (#640) with each of the boroughs also being renumbered: Bronx Council #641), Brooklyn Council (#642), Manhattan Council (#643), Queens Council(#644), and the Staten Island Council (#645). Since the beginning, the five boroughs of the city each maintained their own council under the umbrella of the "greater" council Bronx Council (#372), Brooklyn Council (#369), Manhattan Council (#384), Queens Council(#371), and the Staten Island Council (#396). In 1936 the council changed its name to the Greater New York Council (#719). In 1915, the Greater New York Advisory Council was founded, changing its name to the Boy Scout Federation of Greater New York Council (#719) in 1925. The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The programs of the Boy Scouts of America aim to serve young people by encouraging healthy habits and a lifelong appreciation of physical and personal fitness, replacing bullying with kindness, instilling a sense of environmental stewardship and sustainability, and providing leadership development opportunities and STEM Education, preparing young people for the workforce. Over five million young people have experienced Scouting through GNYC, since the council's inception in the 1920s. The borough councils are then divided into districts. GNYC has a unique organization in that it is sub-divided into borough councils, each of which is led by a borough executive. The Greater New York Councils (GNYC) is a local council of the Boy Scouts of America that serves the New York City area.
